Shrove Tuesday is here, why not invite your dog’s pals over for the afternoon and serve up these yummy, mouth-watering homemade pancakes, bursting with tasty toppings full of wholesome goodness. Your dog will be jumping for joy!
Makes around 10 pancakes
100g wheat and gluten-free or buckwheat flour
300ml water or semi-skimmed or milk
1 large egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl. Make a well in the centre with the back of a spoon then break in the egg and pour in half the milk or water. Whisk together, gradually to make a smooth thick batter. Beat thoroughly to remove any lumps, then stir in the rest of the milk or water.
In a small frying pan, heat a small amount of coconut oil to coat and cook each pancake about 1 minute on each side.
For bone-shaped pancakes, just pour the batter into a bone-shaped cookie cutter.
Cool and serve.
- Mashed banana
- Organic, sugar free peanut butter
- Sliced strawberries and blueberries with bio yogurt
- Grated apple with a drizzle of honey and a dusting of cinnamon
